Apple To Begin Selling Accessibility Accessories In Early 2016

Apple will start selling the accessibility accessories compatible with Apple devices in early 2016. According to Macotakara, it will be around January or March.

Apple is quite active in developing the accessibility feature on OS X, iOS, WatchOS, and the new tvOS to help the handicapped users. Apple has got a Helen Keller Achievement Award from the American Foundation for the Blind for its work on VoiceOver tech. Recently, Apple supports NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) New World Conference 2015, which was held in Australia.

“Apple has been actively engaged in support activities such as its full backup for the international “NDIS New World Conference 2015,” which was held in Australia during October 27-29, 2015. Apple considers diversity important and hopes to make its products more accessible to the handicapped by making accessories for the handicapped available at Apple Store.”

There is no information available yet about what kind of accessibility accessories are they going to make.

Currently, there are many accessibility accessories circulating under the “Made for iPhone” program, from hearing aids to braille displays. If this report is true, Apple’s accessibility accessories will become the first one made by Apple for handicapped users, as their commitment to present products with support diversity and disability.
