Former Apple Creative Director Joins Huawei

Huawei, one of the leading China’s smartphone manufacturers has hired a new interface design executive. It is a former Apple creative director Abigail Sarah Brody.

Abigail Brody worked at Apple for years, and then she moved to eBay.

While she was working at Apple, she was the part of the team that built iOS 1. She also worked on Apple’s internal professional app design language ProKit, and iCloud, Apple’s cloud-storage service.

China’s leading smartphone manufacturer has hired Abigail who is now a new chief of Huawei’s interface and UX, and she will report to CEO of the Consumer BG Mr. Richard Yu.

The company said Ms. Brody worked for technology brands as a design strategy consultant, and that she could help Huawei to improve its smartphone interface. Also, the company is setting up a new design studio in the United States.

Huawei is now China’s top smartphone vendor as it replaced Xiaomi, and it’s the third-largest vendor in the world.
