How to block contacts on Signal

Singal is very simple to use, but if you are new to the app, you might need some time to explore it all. If you want to block a contact but not sure how just follow the steps below:

  • Open Signal app on your Android or iOS device
  • Next, open the chat with the person you want to block
  • Now tap on the three dots in the top-right corner
  • In the drop-down menu tap on Conversation settings
  • Scroll all the way down and tap Block
  • A pop-up message will show up, tap Block

How to unblock contacts on Signal

If you change your mind later and want to unblock the contact, open the chat again, and tap Unblock at the bottom of the page and when the pop-up message shows up, tap Unblock. If you deleted the chat, you can unblock the contact from Settings. To do that, open the app and tap on three dots in the top-right corner. Tap Settings, then tap Privacy. Now tap Blocked contacts and find the contact you want to unblock. Scroll down and tap Unblock. Again, tap Unblock to confirm.
