How to transfer messages and emails from your Apple Watch to your iPhone

We already mentioned that you can read text messages and emails on your Apple Watch and you can send them as well. Sometimes, it can be more convenient for you to reply using your iPhone. With a few simple taps, you can transfer both, messages and emails from one device to another using the handoff feature.

Text messages

If you want to transfer text messages, do the following:

  • Open the Messages app on the watch
  • Find the message you want to transfer and tap on it

To open the message on the phone tap on the message icon which is located in the bottom-left corner of the iPhone’s screen if your iPhone is locked. If the device is unlocked, tap on the Home button two times, swipe right until you find Message Handoff and once you do click on it.

Emails

If you transfer emails, do the following

  • Open the Mail app on the watch
  • Find the email you want to transfer and tap on it

To open an email on the phone, tap on the email icon which is located in the bottom-left corner of the iPhone’s screen if  your iPhone is locked. If the device is unlocked, tap on the Home button two times, swipe right until you find Email Handoff and once you do click on it.
