iPhone XR stuck on the Apple logo – How to fix it

An iPhone XR may not be able to pass the Apple logo after you tried to restore it. If that is the case, there are two possible workarounds to try before contacting Apple support or visiting one of the company’s stores nearby. The first thing to try is a force restart, and the second one is putting the device into recovery mode. The steps for both are below.

Force restart your iPhone XR

The first thing to do when the phone can’t pass the Apple logo is a force restart. These are the steps:

  • Press the Volume up button and release it quickly
  • Press the Volume down button and let go of it quickly
  • As the final step, press and hold the power button until your iPhone XR restarts.

Recovery mode

If the force restart didn’t make a change, you might try putting your phone into recovery mode. Here is how you can do that:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes
  • Press the Volume up button and release it quickly
  • Press the Volume down button and let go of it quickly
  • Now press and hold the Top button until your iPhone XR restarts
  • Hold the top button until the phone enters recovery mode
  • Locate your device on your computer
  • Select the option Update
  • It will allow your computer to install the latest software on your phone but without the need to delete its data
  • After the process completes, follow the on-screen steps to set up your iPhone XR as a new device.

If none of these work, contact Apple or visit one of their stores.
