Microsoft Is Planning To Make Xbox Mini To Rival The New Apple TV

According to the internal source that was reported by Petri IT, Microsoft is considering the release of a thinner and lighter Xbox One to rival the new Apple TV. On their page, they discussed the prediction regarding the hardware, software, and cloud, which will show up in 2017, including the rumor about the Xbox One Mini. The information is not clear yet, but it seems that Microsoft is planning to make the lighter version and provides the Windows Store games as it has been done by Apple on their new Apple TV.

“I have heard from internal sources that the company is considering plans for a lightweight Xbox One that may only be for Windows store games and would compete with the Apple TV, but it’s not clear if these plans have been scrapped. A similar device was rumored around the initial Xbox One launch and those plans were put on hold, but this device is said to be from a similar vein. If this device does materialize, it will not launch until the second half of the year and have a much lower price-point than the Xbox One.”

At this time, Xbox One is still popular as the game console than the entertainment device for a living room. While, the new Apple TV has almost everything, starting from entertainment, games, and apps through their Apps Store.

To rival the king of the devices in the living room, Microsoft reportedly will make the Xbox One Mini.
