Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Leaked: Promises a Good Upgrade from Tab S7

Last year in August, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet in the global market. In less than a year, the two devices have seen some major updates coming their way which has made them even more attractive to consumers. For instance, the new One UI 3.0 software update has enabled the tablets to work as a secondary display screen to one’s PC. Both the devices were received very well and now Samsung loyalists are eagerly looking forward to the release of the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. According to a recently published report, Samsung is aiming to launch the new devices at the same time as it released its predecessors in 2020.

A YouTuber who runs a channel on YouTube called The Galox has claimed that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 will be launched with some modest updates. Through this leak, the YouTuber has divulged a lot of information about the device, including its specifications. While no official announcement has been made by Samsung in the recent past, the leak has offered more than a sneak peek into the product.

According to the YouTuber, the Galaxy Tab S8 will run on the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset and feature an 11-inch LCD display screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Apart from this, the tablet will feature a fingerprint scanner enmeshed onto the power button. The Galaxy Tab S8+ is expected to come with a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and run on the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset.

The Galaxy S8 will be available in different storage variants. There is an 8GB RAM phone and a 128GB RAM device too. 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB – you can pick any of the three models based on your storage requirement. Like its predecessor, this tablet will also operate on the strength of a 10,090mAh battery. Both the devices come with a 25W fast charging support. The last released models boasted of 45W rapid charge support.

There are speculations about the Galaxy Tab S8 series that it will come armed with a bunch of minor hardware modifications. The software changes, though, are expected to be a lot more prominent. As Samsung has already begun implementing the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 in its old and newer devices, there is a good chance of the Galaxy Tab S8 featuring it too.
