Nextbit Announced Their First Cloud Android Smartphone Called Robin

Cloud based smartphone can become a trend for the next smartphone gen. This concept breaks the limitation of today’s smartphone: the storage limit. The company that can bring this concept into reality is Nexbit. To a Kickstarter project, Nextbit announced their first cloud Android smartphone called Robin.

“Robin intelligently adapts to your storage needs, and automatically optimizes the space on your phone when it sees you need it. By learning the apps you use and the space you need, Robin offloads the stuff you don’t use to the cloud. So you can have everything you want (in the cloud), and just what you need (on your phone)” they said

This is amazingly smart! Today’s smartphones came with certain storage limits and some native applications you might not need. The solution for these things is seen in the Robin project, which integrate smart cloud AI and Android OS to make the storage more flexible. Nextbit has a commitment will not bring the bloatware to Robin and will only provide the essential software.

Moreover, the design is totally new. All buttons, color, and speaker look so different compared to the other smartphone’ designs. Robin has a 7mm thin and offers great specifications equal to the high-end smartphone late this year.
