What to Expect From Apple Event March 15

According to a source that is quoted by 9to5mac, Apple will hold an event for media on March 15, 2016. As the previous report said, Apple will announce some new devices to complete the Apple device series in 2017, such as the new iPhone 4-inch (iPhone 5SE), iPad Air 3, the new Apple Watch bands, Apple Watch with integrated Facetime camera, and more.

iPhone 5SE

iPhone 4-inch is one of the most rumored devices so far, which is known as iPhone 5SE. This iPhone will reportedly replace iPhone 5S and will complete the iPhone series in terms of the price range. It seems the iPhone 5SE will have the same price as iPhone 5s, starting from $450 for 16GB and $100 higher for 64GB storage.

When it comes to design and the appearance, the rumor said that iPhone 5SE will adopt a whole design of iPhone 5S with a display similar to iPhone 6/6s. According to the rumors, this new iPhone will use A9 chip, 2GB of RAM, a new iSight camera to capture Live Photos, and the support for Apple Pay.

iPad Air 3

The next device that will be announced during the event is the iPad Air 3, the successor of iPad Air 2, which was released in 2014. Apple didn’t release iPad Air 3 last year because they were focused on introducing the new iPad pro. Recently, there are 2 leaked images associated with iPad Air 3: the schematic image and its case image. From these images, we can see that iPad Air 3 will adopt the same features as iPad Pro: 4 speakers and Smart Connector. Moreover, iPad Air 3 will have LED flash for iSight camera, which is new for the iPad series. The latest news even said the device will also adopt the 4K display, but it seems slightly dubious. If you are a fan of iPad 9.7-inch, this upcoming iPad series will be the perfect upgrade for you. One of the interesting features is Smart Connector, which can provide the power and send data to be used by certain accessory, such as the external keyboard.

Will this new iPad support Apple Pencil? It’s still a mystery. If the answer is ‘yes’, maybe the perfect name for it is iPad Pro mini. Currently, Apple is still in the top position in terms of tablet sales. By releasing iPad Air 3, Apple is expected to keep that position.

Apple Watch

Apple will reportedly introduce new bands, including the new color sport bands, new Hermes bands, space black Milanese loop, and some other bands with various materials. The trusted source mentioned that Apple is testing a high-quality NATO-style nylon band series.

Moreover, they are also some rumors that they will introduce the minor hardware upgrade for Apple Watch, that is a Facetime camera for video calls. This Apple Watch will have the same design as its predecessor, and it’s not the Apple Watch 2 version. Regarding the OS, they will announce watches 2.2, tested by developers. At this time, Apple is still maximizing Apple Watch first gen. Recently, Apple got the first place as the most luxury watch brand.

The New MacBook Line Up

The last device to be presented at the Apple event in March is the new MacBook lineup. Previously, the report from DigiTimes said this device will be announced in Q2 and Q3, but it’s not impossible if Apple surprise us by announcing the new line up of MacBook during the event.

New MacBook Line Up Will Be Release In Q2 And Q3

The new MacBook will be equipped with the latest processor Intel Skylake and probably will adopt DDR4 memory. There is no rumor yet about its design. The rumors only mentioned the thinner MacBook Air and the fact it may available with the 15-inch display.

Apple tries to start their new quarter with a great hardware to increase the sales. The analysts believe that Apple will still dominate the tablet market. They also predicted the MacBook sales will increase.

Are these rumors true? There are 1.5 months left to Apple event. Stay tune for the updated information.
